Food Festivals: Estoril and the Lisboa Coast

  • IMG_0169.jpg peixe lx 260xThere are several food and drink festivals around the country in which local  produce such as sausages (chouriços), cheese, wine, olive oils, etc are served and sold.  The Fish & Flavours festival took place in Lisboa.

 

CASCAIS MARKET FOOD FESTIVALS organised by the Cascais Council:

  • Chocolate Fair: 27th February to 1st March The chocolate fair in Cascais market received 29000 visitors from the 27th to 1st March. There were 23 Portuguese exhibitors and one Spanish. All kinds of delicious gourmet chocolate products were available from truffles to spiced chocolates, brownies and various cakes, a heaven for all those chocoholics! During the three days chefs Joana Byscaia, Andreia Lima, Carolina Abelho, Pedro Mendes, Joe Best, Miguel Paulino and António Marques ran the showcookings demonstrating the various methods of how to use chocolate.   • Wines (week for cheese and sausages): 28th to 31st May 2015
  • Producers Market: 25th to 28th June 2015
  • Sardines: 30th July to 2nd August 2015
  • Beer and  snacks: 24th to 27th September 2015
  • Autumn Fair: 30th October to 1st November 2015
  • Honey: 27th to 29th November 2015
